Industries / Fintech & professional services

Where every document, approval and figure needs a trail.

Finance and professional services run on documents, approvals and records that have to be right. Clients expect a clear portal, while staff still chase files by email and re-key data between systems. Any action may need explaining later, to a client, an auditor or a regulator.

Why us

What we bring to fintech & professional services.

What makes it hard

The problems software has to solve here.

  • Client onboarding

Identity checks, forms and supporting documents collected over email slow the start of every relationship.

  • Document-heavy work

Statements, contracts and returns are read and re-keyed by hand, with errors that are hard to trace.

  • Permissions & audit trails

Who saw, changed or approved what needs to be clear, with access limited to each person’s role.

  • Reconciliation

Matching records across banks, ledgers and internal systems often lives in spreadsheets only one person understands.

The cost of leaving it

New clients wait while staff chase a missing passport scan or bank statement by email. Figures re-keyed from a PDF go wrong quietly, and the error shows up at month end or in a client’s return. When a regulator or auditor asks who approved a decision, someone spends days rebuilding the answer from inboxes.

What we build

Illustration of software in use in fintech & professional services

Software for the way the work is done.

  • Client portals

Secure places for clients to share documents, approve work and see where things stand.

  • Onboarding workflows

Guided forms, document collection and review steps, connected to the checks you already use.

  • Document extraction

Pull fields from statements and forms into your systems, with a person reviewing what matters.

  • Internal operations tools

Approval flows, reconciliation views and reporting, with role-based access and a full audit trail.

Applied AI

Where AI helps in fintech & professional services.

Where it shouldn’t decide: AI should not decide whether to accept a client, clear a sanctions or PEP match, or give advice. Those calls need a named person, and the record has to show who made them.

Rules and standards

What the software has to respect.

UK GDPR
Collect only the personal data the work needs, limit access by role and keep a clear retention period for each kind of record.
FCA Consumer Duty
Screens, letters and support routes have to be understandable and tested, including for customers in vulnerable circumstances.
Money Laundering Regulations 2017
Due diligence documents and transaction records are kept for five years after the relationship ends, then personal data is deleted.
PCI DSS v4.0.1
Card data stays out of your own systems where possible, and scripts on payment pages are authorised and monitored for changes.
UAE PDPL and Saudi PDPL
Clients in the Gulf have their own data protection laws, which affect consent, where data is hosted and transfers abroad.

We design software to support these obligations. Responsibility for meeting them stays with your organisation and its advisers.

What’s changing

Shifts to plan for.

  1. April 2026

Making Tax Digital for Income Tax

Sole traders and landlords with qualifying income over £50,000 now keep digital records and send HMRC quarterly updates through compatible software.

  2. November 2025

    Companies House identity checks

Directors and people with significant control must verify their identity, directly or through an Authorised Corporate Service Provider.

  3. July 2026

    UAE e-invoicing

The Ministry of Finance pilot began in July 2026. Businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more must use e-invoicing from 1 January 2027.

Technologies we often use here

Common questions

Before you get in touch.

How do you handle client and financial data?

Before building, we agree what data the product holds, who can access it, where it is hosted and how long it is kept. UK GDPR and your audit requirements shape the design, and your compliance team reviews the approach.

Can it work with our existing practice or banking systems?

We review the APIs, exports and data formats your systems offer before committing. Some connect directly; others need a scheduled import or a person in the loop.

Can AI read our documents reliably?

It depends on the documents and the cost of a mistake. We test extraction against representative examples first, and keep a person reviewing anything that affects a client or a figure.
