Expertise / Cirlume

From the first question to the working system.

We bring product thinking and engineering into the same conversation, whether you need a focused piece of work or a connected team across the build.

02 / 04

Software engineering

Start here if you are building a new platform, or one has outgrown its first version.

Build connected web and mobile products, with the APIs, data and permissions behind the screens.

Typical stackReact, Next.js, Astro, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript, Node.js, Go, Python, Firebase, Supabase, Better Auth, React Native & Expo, Flutter, Swift & Kotlin, PostgreSQL, MySQL, AWS, Microsoft Azure

Shift to plan for · August 2026 Google Play targets Android 16

03 / 04

Applied AI

Start here if your team spends hours searching documents or copying data between systems.

Put models to work on specific, reviewable tasks inside the systems your team already uses.

Typical stackTypeScript, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud

Shift to plan for · July 2026 EU high-risk rules move to 2027

04 / 04

Cloud & delivery

Start here if releases depend on one person remembering the steps.

Make releases repeatable and systems easier to operate as the product grows.

Typical stackPostgreSQL, Neon, DynamoDB, Redis, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Cloudflare, Vercel, Terraform

Shift to plan for · June 2026 Amazon Linux 2 reaches end of life

Industries

Expertise shaped by the sector.

The same disciplines look different in a care provider, a training team, a maintenance business or a regulated firm. We bring what we have learned in each.

Our approach

The right shape for the problem.

Some engagements start with product direction. Others begin in an existing codebase or a system that has become difficult to operate. We work out what needs to be understood first, then agree a scope that can be reviewed as it moves.

Our work spans 27 technologies, from React and Go to PostgreSQL, AWS and Terraform. The tools follow the product and the team that will own it.

  1. A first, fixed stage

Discovery, a prototype or a technical review with agreed outputs, so the next decision is made with something concrete in hand.

  2. Delivery in phases

The build split into releases, each with a scope you review and approve before it starts.

  3. Ongoing engineering

An agreed scope for support and improvements after launch, with response expectations written down.

What’s changing

Deadlines that land on your roadmap.

App store rules, end-of-life dates and AI regulation that affect design, engineering and cloud work, newest first. Each is checked against an official source.

  1. August 2026EU AI transparency duties applyArticle 50 obligations, such as telling people when they are dealing with an AI system, apply from 2 August 2026.Applied AI
  2. August 2026Google Play targets Android 16New apps and updates for phones and tablets must target API level 36. Extensions can be requested until 1 November 2026.Software engineering
  3. July 2026EU high-risk rules move to 2027The AI Omnibus entered into force on 27 July 2026, moving obligations for Annex III high-risk systems, such as those used in employment, credit scoring and education, to 2 December 2027.Applied AI
  4. June 2026Amazon Linux 2 reaches end of lifeAmazon Linux 2 reached end of life on 30 June 2026. Lambda runtimes built on it, such as Python 3.10 and 3.11 and older Java, get limited patches until their own deprecation dates.Cloud & delivery
  5. April 2026App Store requires the iOS 26 SDKSince 28 April 2026, uploads must be built with Xcode 26. Apps can still support older iOS versions; only the build tools changed.Software engineering
  6. April 2026Lambda deprecates Node.js 20Lambda stopped patching the nodejs20.x runtime on 30 April 2026. Creating functions on it is blocked from 29 July 2027 and updating them from 31 August 2027.Cloud & delivery
