Cloudflare.
A global network for DNS, security and edge hosting, with Workers running code close to your users.

Key features
What Cloudflare does well.
One network in front
DNS, caching, TLS, a web application firewall and bot protection from the same dashboard and API.
Workers at the edge
Server code runs in data centres worldwide, and one Worker can serve static files and API routes together.
Storage built in
R2 for files with no download charges, D1 for SQL data and KV for fast key-value reads.
Configuration as code
Workers deploy from a config file in the repository, and the Terraform provider covers DNS and security rules.
What we build with it

Fast and protected, wherever visitors are.
Cloudflare sits in front of a website or API as DNS, cache and firewall, and can also host the application itself. Workers run code in data centres around the world, with R2 for files, D1 for SQL data and KV for fast reads, all deployed from one configuration.
DNS, CDN and firewall
Cloudflare in front of an existing site or API, caching pages and blocking attacks and abusive bots.
Edge-hosted applications
Websites and APIs deployed as Workers, with static files and server code in one deployment.
File storage and delivery
Uploads and media in R2, served through Cloudflare without per-gigabyte download charges.
When it’s the right choice
Cloudflare suits public websites and APIs that need speed and protection worldwide, and lightweight applications that fit its serverless model.
When we’d pick something else
Heavy back-end processing, long-running jobs or a large relational database usually belong on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud, with Cloudflare in front.
Our Cloudflare services
How we can help.
DNS and security setup
We move DNS to Cloudflare, set up TLS, caching and firewall rules, and test them before switching traffic.
Workers applications
We build websites and APIs on Workers, with R2, D1 or KV chosen to match the data.
Performance review
We check what is cached, what is not and why, then tune rules so pages load faster for distant users.
Rules in code
We bring DNS records, firewall and cache rules into Terraform so changes are reviewed and repeatable.
How we work
Starting a Cloudflare project.
Review what exists
Code, data, hosting and the people who maintain it, before any Cloudflare decision is made.
Agree the approach
A written scope: what changes, what stays, the risks and how we will know it worked.
Build in reviewable slices
Working increments your team can test, rather than one large delivery at the end.
Hand over or stay on
Documentation and access for your team, or a defined support scope if you want us to keep going.
Where AI fits
AI in cloud & infrastructure work.
Models inside your cloud account
Amazon Bedrock, Azure and Google’s Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform give model access under your own account’s access, logging and billing controls.
AI workflow automation ↗Region and residency checks
Model availability differs by region, so we check where prompts and documents will be processed before choosing a service.
Cloud architecture ↗
Where it stops: Turning on a model service does not make a use compliant. Data protection and sector rules still apply to every prompt and output.
What’s changing
Shifts to plan for.

Astro team joins Cloudflare
Cloudflare took on the Astro team. The framework stays MIT-licensed and can still be deployed to other hosts.

Common questions
Cloudflare questions.
Can we use Cloudflare with our existing hosting?
Yes. Cloudflare can sit in front of a site hosted anywhere, handling DNS, caching and the firewall, without moving the application.
Can UK or EU data stay in the region?
Cloudflare offers regional options, such as R2 storage in an EU jurisdiction and its Data Localization Suite for the UK and EU. We check which ones your plan includes before relying on them.
